Vukovar Tower of Glory
In the late 1960s, the Vukovar water tower was built in a city park, popularly known as Najpar-bašća, in Vukovar, Croatia. Until the war, the top of the tower was home to a restaurant with a view of Vukovar and the surrounding vineyards. Although I have not visited the tower either before or after its destruction in 1991, it remains a symbolic representation of a glorious time in Croatian culture.
